Beloved brother to sisters Ann Macdonald (David) Orwell, Linda Henry (Blair) Vernon Bridge, Karen Vantyghem (John) Tillsonburg, ON, and Heidi MacEachern (Eddie) Uigg. He is predeceased by his parents, John Ellsworth and Bessie Marie (Larsen) Morrison. With both his parents being born into large families, he is survived by a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to name them all. Blair left home to join the military. During the course of his military career, his trade being a part of EME, he was in Cyprus as part of the UN peacekeeping mission, did 2 tours in West Germany (CFB Lahr) and finished his military career in Ottawa (HQ). Upon retiring, he relocated his family in Roseberry, PE. The call of the island was great and it was in his blood. He became a member of the PEI Regiment, and spent a total of 32 years as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. He spent many a year driving to Summerside, where he worked with an aerospace company as quality control manager. When he had enough of the long drive, Charlottetown was where he found his next place of employment and it was from here, he retired from the work force. He was an avid runner and biker who completed two PEI marathons. Blair was active in his community, being a member of the Belfast Lions, the local BWAG and assisting with the Pinette Mosquito program when he was able. He loved being outdoors. During fishing season, he could be found down by the pond talking to anyone who was fishing that day. He will be missed by many. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation or funeral service by request. Anyone wishing to do make a donation may do so online in his name, please do so to the charity of your choice or the Cancer Treatment Center at the QEH in Charlottetown.
